Winch Design

Phoenix²

Her powerful phoenix figurehead, soaring over the waves, tells you everything you need to know about this 90m (295ft) motor yacht: so much more than a simple sequel to her predecessor, a graceful, powerful lady in her own right.

The owner was so entranced by the original Phoenix, designed by Winch Design and launched at Lürssen in 2004, that he commissioned a second project – bigger, bolder and unquestionably more beautiful, a yacht that’s been ‘squared’ in size, style and sophistication.

Inside, the yacht is a sumptuous study in New York Art Deco design, while paying homage to the owner’s passion for art and music. There’s a formal saloon with a Steinway grand piano, silk sunray-pattered carpets and a ceiling adorned with hand-gilded phoenix birds; a monochromatic dining room brilliantly lit from above like a Broadway stage; a forward bulkhead emblazoned with a six-panelled relief sculpture of musicians; a Radio City Music Hall-inspired foyer; a cinema room; and a sommelier room to satisfy the owner’s love of fine wine. Everything you see and touch onboard Phoenix² is bespoke, combining a certain humour and theatricality with comfort and high style.
